Rosalie is an Australian artist and illustrator based on the Mornington Peninsula.
She is a painter and picture book illustrator with a love for semi abstract landscapes, portraiture and figurative works. Her style is emotive and conceptual, with attention to light and form.
Rosalie has always painted and was initially taught to oil paint at a young age by her artist mother, she was encouraged to attend life drawing classes in her teens and has always lived in a creative 'studio house' .
She first began illustrating for magazines, book publishers and advertising agencies in 2003. Prior to that she worked in the theatre industry designing and making costumes. Rosalie holds a BA in Fashion Design from RMIT and attended the Design course at NIDA.
Recent illustration clients have been: Cengage Learning, University of Queensland Press, Pan Macmillan Australia and Copeland Publishing.
